Acting Upon What We Learn
Not Acting Upon What We Preach
“O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allâh that you say that which you do not do.”
(61:2-3)
The prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“I saw during the night I was taken for the Night Journey men who lips were being cut by scissors of fire. I asked, “Who are these O Jibreel?”
He said: “These are the preachers from your Ummah who commanded the people with good but forgot themselves (didn’t act upon it), and they used to recite the Quraan, didn’t they take heed from it?”
