Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuhu,
As usual we will be praying salaatul ‘Eid in Chalvey Park (SL1 2SR) at 8am insha’Allaah.
Zakaatul – Fitr
We are collecting zakaatul fitr until Friday 25th July – £1.50 per person. If you would like us to distribute fitr on your behalf then please ensure the money reaches us by Friday 25th July at the latest in order for the food to be purchased and given to the poor and needy by ‘Eid.
We are again collecting your obligatory zakaat (2.5% of your surplus wealth) and will distribute it around the world to those who are most in need and eligible to receive zakaat based on the shari’ah. We would like to emphasise here that we cannot guarantee that we will donate any specific cause that you may specify, we collect all zakaat and then as a committee decide on where to donate this, as the needs change year to year and so we decide on those we feel are most in need. Should wish to know more about where we have donated then you may contact the Markaz, this will also be displayed in the Markaz for transparency.
For those brothers and sisters who are not able to fast due to illness (long-term or pregnancy), then we are also able to distribute your fidya (which is feeding a poor person a meal a day). The cost is £2.50 per fasting day.
If you would like to make any of the above payments, then you can visit the centre, or pay online (see details below).
AS ALWAYS PLEASE CLEARLY REFERENCE WHAT THE PAYMENT IS FOR, WHETHER MAKING THE PAYMENT ONLINE OR IN PERSON AT THE MARKAZ.

Narrated Abu Ayub: A man said to the Prophet “Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise.” The people said, “What is the matter with him? What is the matter with him?” The Prophet said, “He has something to ask. (What he needs greatly) The Prophet said: (In order to enter Paradise) you should worship Allah and do not ascribe any partners to Him, offer prayer perfectly, pay the zakat and keep good relations with your kith and kin.” (Bukhari No. 1317)
Wassalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu.
